i won't go into all the gory details, but i have had a rough couple of weeks. i don't have much time to blog on here, but i wanted to update & let you all know i was still alive. it is that crazy time of year when i am SOOO busy applying to teaching jobs. i have already had 3 interviews this year, and they all have been a no go. it is incredibly time consuming applying for multiple teaching jobs. there are district essays to write, cover letters, district applications, and the time it takes to look through the postings & look into the different districts. this has caused a lot of stress for me again this year :( it is still early in the year, but it is not looking good so far.
i am having some medical issues that doctors are looking into. it looks like i am going to have to have my gall-bladder removed (it is inflamed and full of gall-stones). i also have hypothyroidism and have to be on a thyroid stimulating hormone the rest of my life. my thyroid is broken :( this has all been within the last month or so.
it is my last few weeks of grad school and i have a lot due. i have been having some trouble balancing everything i have going on in my life. last thrusday i had a severe anxiety attack. i couldn't breathe & couldn't keep any food down (if you know what i mean) so, it has been rough around here lately. i am not writing all this to complain just to let you know why i have been M.I.A. i am trying to hang in there and simplify my life where i can.
we are still looking at out of state teaching jobs in washington, idaho, oregon, nevada, utah, and possibly wisconsin (my husband has relatives and has always loved it there.) i am also debating if putting my health and happiness through this every year is worth it. i am thinking about what other career choices i have with my degree, or what other things i can do. that is pretty much where we are at. i will post pics from my business trip/vacation to utah soon. i can't find the chord to upload the pics so i have to get them off the camera first! :) it was an interesting city, people were super friendly and helpful. we didn't fall in love with it, like i thought we might. but it was a nice area, gorgeous mountains and lots to do there. i will post more about it later!

I am so sorry to hear you are having problems with your gallbladder and thyroid:( Amongst trying to apply for a teaching position, along with health issues, I'm sure you're thinking, "what else?" I would be the same way, but you sound like you are hanging in there:) There's a song by Casting Crowns, it talks about praising God in the storm. This song has really helped in certain situations so I wanted to pass it on. It's such a relief to know the Lord is in control and though we may be going through life's storms, we are not alone. He is beside us, holding our hand the entire way. Hope this encourages you:)
Man, I'm sorry things are so tough for you at the moment. I totally understand the job situation, as Drew has been trying to find work since March. Times can be so hard sometimes, and when we are in the midst of it, it's hard to understand why it is all happening. I struggled with this when I was in the hospital. It wasn't until it was all said and done, that God revealed the answers. Hang in there. God has a wonderful plan for you :)
