so has you have read it has been a tough year for adam and i. when we moved to p-town we were flat broke, and struggled for the first 5 months we were here. i went to the portland job fair in april. i was not given any good news from the oregon districts :( i interviewed with a district 45 minutes north of salt lake city, utah. i got really great feedback from the interview, it was so good that adam and i decided to go on a business trip/vacation over there. i interviewed with a couple schools, only one had a position available at the time. i did not get that job. adam and i were starting the vicious job cycle again. we were both getting discouraged that it was going to be the same scenario as this year....he: works full-time at the pendleton woolen mills...me: starbucks barista and substitute teacher. subbing was not for me, so i have been thinking about some other professions that i could get into. then today i get an email from the supervisor of elementary education, the lady i interviewed with, and she asks me if i was still interested in relocating to the weber (not pronounced like it is spelled...weeeber) school district. i called her and she wanted to talk to my cooperating teacher that i student taught with. she then called me back and offered me an open contract. this means that i am guaranteed a position in the district next year, they just don't currently have a position open right now. the elementary supervisor said she is 99% sure it will be k-2nd. i am praying for kindergarten! :) so that means that I HAVE A JOB! :) i just found out about a half hour ago and had to blog it before i exploded out of my skin! i am going to teach full-time and adam will be going to school full-time (most likely weber state university) i just can't believe it. when we were feeling like we had lost all hope...God swoops in and surprises us out of the blue! so we will be moving the beginning of august. holy cow that is alot to do! i don't want to think about that part just yet! :) ok i will post some pics from our trip...i just got them off the camera.
This is where we spent alot of our time. it reminded me of tri-cities washington (with the exception of the looming mountains in the distance!) it is the city of riverdale.
This is another shot of riverdale. It had all the shopping and yummy restaurants.
This is adam and i in front of weber state university. it was a really pretty campus and it has the huge duck pond in the front!

We went up into the mountains to the reservoir...i can't remember what the reservoir is called now, but on google maps it is in the shape of an airplane. there is one elementary school up the mountains, it is part of the ski resort area.
