We celebrated Easter with adam's family this year. now that i think of it we have celebrated it with his family for the last five years! :) anyway, adam and i decided saturday night to go on a date. we went to our fave mexican restaurant. we even splurged and got dessert...which by the way was SOOO good! :) we then came home and watched a movie, that we both pretty much ended up hating. we then dyed our easter eggs at like 10:30 at night. we had a lot of fun and they turned out pretty cool. we went to bed at like 1:00, and we had decided to be adventorous and go to the 7:30 church service. it was fun getting up early, getting dressed and driving to church so early. i admit i was a little sleepy from the previous night's festivities, but the service was beautiful. my fave part was when the youth pastor and our church secretary sang a duet...it was breathtaking.
we came home from church at 9:30 and went back to bed until noon. we then got up and got ready for lunch. it was a lot of rich food! we also had the jonathan easter egg hunt, and then the annual torture leslie competition. every year adam has his family hide easter eggs, and he and i compete to see who can find the most. he has won 3 out of the 4 years we have done it. but i humor him and honestly do try to beat him.
roxy thought all the running around outside was fun and she tried to grab eggs a couple times. she then resolved herself to running around after all of us with her ball in her mouth! she was letting us know she wanted to play too :) it was a nice relaxing day, and despite getting a little sick from all the food, it was very enjoyable.

the fam out helping jonathan hunt for easter eggs. notice the family pet rabbit in the middle of all the action too. i swear jonathan had like 20 plastic eggs to find! it took forever :)

Here is a picture of me dying easter eggs...just to let you know i was exhausted at this point and wanted to go to bed. so that explains the nappy eyes you are seeing.

Here are some of our eggs and all our cups of dye.

here is adam putting hot glue on his easter egg. he came up with a great idea to dye the egg one color, or leave it white, put hot glue on the egg in a pattern and then dye it. they turned out really cute. i made a swirl one, and a polka dot one!

here is the fam before we started eating our dinner. starting left to right, len (karin's husband, jean-mother-in-law, fossi-grandma-in-law, adam-duh, karin-sister-in-law, and jonathan-nephew)

everyone hunting for eggs, including roxy running around on the hill.
