The Extreme Team Beach Trip Part 2

sunday morning we all woke up pretty early. adam and i especially had not slept well. the people in the tent next to us sounded like they got home around 4am. then the dang birds were so loud around 6am, and roxy was pretty restless early in the morning. we had set our alarm for 9am because we did not know when check-out time was. so we all started to get up and get ready for the day. it was still raining outside as we were running around trying to get ready. jeff went and asked what time check-out was, it was 12. jeff wanted to go skimboarding so we decided we should pack up camp in order to get everything in that we wanted to do that day. adam wanted to shower and jan was feeling grumpy and wet from the rain, so jeff and i took down camp together. the majority of the pics that follow are from the morning at the beach skimboarding. jeff found us a nice secluded beach (which was perfect to let roxy run around at). jeff and adam skimboarded while jan and i hung out and took pics of everything.


this pic is of jan babysitting roxy. roxy didn't like it when her daddy crossed the deep water and went to the shallow water to go skimboarding. so jan was in her bathing suit and took roxy over to jeff and adam, and in this pic she was on her way back to me.
this pic is adam having roxy chase him into the ocean. she loves to play chase. you can see it was kind of a gray and dreary morning.
here is jeff skimboarding. he makes it look so easy. jan said she won't do it anymore because the last time she fell really hard. it is a lot harder to keep your balance than he makes it look like.

this is a pic of adam getting ready to skimboard. he had some trouble, but towards the end i could tell he was getting better. it is hard cuz you have to throw the board ahead of you, then run and jump on it. and that is the part where you try not to break your neck. you are only skimming on a couple inches of water.

we stayed at the beach for a couple hours. sadly my batteries on my camera died. i really wanted to get a pic of roxy. she looked so crazy. she was completley soaking and COVERED in sand! she even had it where the drool would drip out of her mouth, she was instead dripping sand! it was so funny. we then decided we were hungry. we went to pig'n a pancake for breakfast. it was delicious. we then drove around for awhile looking for a place that jeff was trying to think of, and we couldn't find it. we were planning on leaving about 2, and we were getting pretty close. so jeff decided he wanted to stop at coldstone before we left. we all got ice cream, and headed home.
