*Life Update*

well, life has been set on turbo speed the past two weeks. i am tired in ways i have never felt tired before! i have just been staying barely above water. i have had my first graders for a week now. they are darling! of course some of those boys are going to give me a run for my money! i think they were just as exhausted as i was today. poor things they are not used to a full-day of school. they were telling me thursday how they just wanted to go home and take a nap....i couldn't have said it better myself! :) my first week has been a mixture of stress, sleep deprivation, success, and sweat! i have been working about 10-11 hour days. i was reminded today that i have not had a full time job since adam & i first got married. i am rusty! plus, teaching is it's own monster. i have a great team of other first grade teachers that have been very helpful & supportive. i am in a HUGE school of over 800 students! it takes a lot of organization & routines to keep everything running smoothly. i have 20 students in my class (how lucky am i?) so, school is going good i am just trying to get into the routine & figure my curriculum out.

we are loving it here in ogden! it is warm & sunny everyday, but i have been having TERRIBLE allergies. adam was teasing me that i am allergic to the desert (i was always sick in pendleton too) overall, the people have been incredibly friendly. we tried out a big church (by big i mean 2500 people!) on sunday & were not impressed. i was bummed cuz i was hoping that would be a good fit for us. they have tons going on & lots to get involved in. but that is really the only thing we saw that they had going for them :( so it is off to another baptist church on sunday. we are going to try a first baptist a little closer to home. adam is still trying to figure his college stuff out. he did not get accepted into weber state university in time to start fall term. (long story...short version they suck and are slow.) he didn't really want to go there in the first place so i think it was God's way of telling us he should go to the college he wanted more with the enviornmental science program he wanted to do. he will be going to school in the spring if all goes as planned! but we are honestly really liking it here....who knew?!? we still miss oregon, but we are adjusting better than i thought we would. the nice big house helps! :) with my crazy schedule i will be blogging when i can....let me know if you have any requests! ;)

A beautiful ranibow over the mountains. This is the view to our right!

Posing for Adam
My sweet husband sent me flowers to be delievered in my classroom on the first day of school. It is true he is amazing! They were beautiful :)

A close up of my pink lillies & roses.

This is an art project we did yesterday. It is from the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom book. The students made cocunut trees & had their names run up the tree like in the book!
