Our New CAR!

We finally bought a new car! we are grown-ups now! it is so nice. it is a 2001 mazda tribute. it had really low miles on it. we got a fabulous deal from our friend Josh Weston, from www.WestonPontiac.com. josh was super helpful, and we got great financing from them considering we are first time buyers. the car is a stick which we were pretty excited about...we have missed driving a stick. it also has power windows/locks, A/C (which we have never had before), and a CD player. so it is all very exciting! roxy is adjusting to riding in to, cuz her new spot is in the trunk. she has tons of room and her woolen mills blanket back there :) we didn't want her shedding all over the seats, and drooling all over the windows. oh, and the final story regarding the car....we got tickets to the seahawks vs. packers game. long story short, we got stuck in seattle. the roads were terrible! the freeway was a solid sheet of ice, and there were accidents ahead of us and semis sideways in the road. we were stuck in traffic for over 3 hours and we only got about 15 miles out of town. we decided to get off the freeway and try to stay in a hotel and we needed to eat something since we hadn't eaten since noon. it was 2am when we finally got out of the car. the only thing we saw open was a donut shop, where we had a donut and hot chocolate. (not the best idea we've had) the owner told us all the hotels were booked, and we had NO idea where we were so...we had to lay the seats down and sleep in the back of our new SUV! there was room for both of us...we were just FREEZING! so adam "slept" in the drivers seat so he could turn the heat on and warm us up randomly. in the ice and snow the car handled beautifully and got us home safe. so we exceptionally happy that we bought the SUV, the timing couldn't have been better! :)
